Begin by rolling your mouse over My Groups and click on Create a New Group. Leave the “New Group” option checked.
When the Create Group tab opens, enter your group’s Name. Make your name specific so that others will be able to find you easily.

Next, enter your Keywords. This step will customize the news the news that will be displayed on your group’s page. Enter one word or phrase per line without punctuation. The more specific your keywords, the more relevant your news will be to your group.
Public or Private? By default, your group is Public (other people can find you). If you’d like to be a Private group (members are invited by you to join), choose “No” instead.
Enter your Zipcode, State and Country. When you’re satisfied with the information you’ve entered, click the Create button to create your group and display your new Group Page. You can always change your group’s details by clicking on the Group Profile gadget on your group page.
Create a Subgroup
Subggroups are useful for organizing groups of members within your main group. You might want to create a group, for example, for the parents of your team members or the officers of your organization. This group can be Private (invitation only) or Public (seen by everyone).
Begin by rolling your mouse over My Groups and click on Create a New Group.
Click the Subgroup option to open a panel listing your existing groups, and click on the main group for which you’re creating a subgroup.
Enter your subgroup’s Name. If your description and keywords differ from your group’s, you can change them now.
Public or Private? By default, your subgroup is Public (other people can find you). If you’d like to be a Private group (members are invited by you to join), choose “No” instead. This is helpful when you want certain members of your group to have access to restricted information (e.g., dues, financial reports, etc.)
Enter your subgroup’s Zipcode, State, and Country. Then click the Create button to display your new Subgroup’s page.
